Court Finds Dakota Access Pipeline Violated the Law

On October 20th,the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe won a significant victory in its fight to protect the Tribe’s drinking water and ancestral lands from the Dakota Access pipeline. The Indigenous Peoples' Rights Program of the Institute for the Study of Human Rights has been following the developments of the struggle of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe.
