2009: Far right of the Catholic Church-Vatican excommunication of four schismatic bishops

 In an effort to reconcile with the far right of the Catholic Church, Pope Benedict XVI revokes the excommunication of four schismatic bishops who had rejected the liberalization of the Second Vatican Council.
