This is a remote volunteer opportunity.

Since 2012, the Fundació Solidaritat UB (University of Barcelona Solidarity Foundation) has been working to develop the European Observatory on Memories (EUROM), a network that gathers 51 partners from the EU and beyond. Its aim is analyzing remembrance policies and promoting the access of citizens to memorial processes. So far, the EUROM has developed an intensive program of activities including analysis and debates as well as participatory activities opened to the public for the dissemination of the multiple European memories. In 2019 together with the European Commission and the European Parliament, EUROM organized a meeting in Paris that gathered more than 80 representatives from different organizations to take stock of the European memory policies. Moreover, every year EUROM publishes the “Observing Memories” magazine, with articles from worldwide experts in the field of memory policies and interviews with representatives of the EU institutions. The person in charge of supervising the CU volunteer will be EUROM Coordinator and the Alliance for Historical Dialogue and Accountability Program (AHDA) alumnus Oriol López-Badell.
