Member of the New Jersey Civil Practice Committee of the New Jersey Supreme Court (2002-06); Georgetown Journal of Gender and the Law Annual Review Board of Advisors (1999-present); founder and past president of the Board of Directors of Immigration Equality (formerly the Lesbian and Gay Immigration Rights Task Force)
 
Joined the Columbia faculty in Fall 2006. Currently directs Columbia's Sexuality and Gender Law Clinic and the Center for Gender and Sexuality Law and teaches Civil Procedure, Advanced Civil Procedure, and Advocacy: Theory and Practice.
