Conference on Migration and Human Rights

Friday, September 20, 2024, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Migrants are one of the most vulnerable populations of the world, especially migrants from poorer countries that are unable or unwilling to protect them abroad. The study of refugee and migration rights provides a lens through which we can examine the profound and intricate challenge that our world faces. More often than not, though, in discussions on migration, policymakers fail to center the migrant herself and her rights.

To advance our understanding of migration and human rights, we invite students and faculty in all social science disciplines to attend our conference, sponsored by the Institute for Social and Economic Research and Policy (ISERP). Graduate students will present on these ever-relevant issues.
