New Resource Available for Human Rights Educators
Wednesday, April 4, 2018

The Institute for the Study of Human Rights is proud to announce the release of Human Rights Learning Activities, a product of the University Human Rights Education in Myanmar program.

The learning activities were specifically developed for educators who are teaching International Human Rights Law to 3rd-year LLB students in Myanmar, however, ISHR hopes that these activities will also be of use to educators in other contexts.

These activities were developed as a broader effort to increase awareness and knowledge of human rights in Myanmar. The University Human Rights Education in Myanmar program began in 2014, and aims to enable university educators to more effectively teach and incorporate human rights into law and other departmental curricula and research using rights-based approaches. Through numerous in-person workshops and training, as well as distance learning and a visiting schoalrs program, faculty members from 17 universities in Myanmar have participated over the past three years.
