ISHR Welcomes Professor Inga Winkler

We are pleased to announce that Inga Winkler has joined ISHR as a full-time Lecturer in the Discipline of Human Rights in the Department of Political Science
 
This fall, she will be teaching International Human Rights Law (HRTS GU6800) and Socio-Economic Rights (HRTS GU4500). Her extensive knowledge of human rights and previous professional experience will enrich the instruction and advising available to both our graduate and undergraduate students. 
 
Prior to joining ISHR, Inga was the Legal Adviser to the first UN Special Rapporteur on the Human Rights to Water and Sanitation. Inga has also held appointments in Germany and in the US, for teaching human rights in law and in political science. She has been in residence as a visiting scholar the Center for Human Rights and Global Justice at NYU, at Stellenbosch (South Africa), and Berkeley. Her research interests include socio-economic rights; the UN human rights system; non-discrimination and equality; and human rights in development, in particular in the context of the Sustainable Development Goals.
