As the program director of Best Solutions, 2014 Advocate Carol Dyantyi has been focusing on vulnerable children, adolescents, and youth as well as people who use drugs in Soweto. Activities of the organization’s Still We Rise/Ikamva Lethu program include access to medical services, psychosocial support, pediatric HIV/AIDS treatment, and access to medical services. The organization also provides meals free of charge to those in need three days a week.

2021-22 HRAP Participant Daniel Villatoro was shortlisted for the "2022 Journalist of the Year Award" by One Young World. The shortlisted candidates have been selected due to the considerable impact they have made in the journalism sector.

Advocate Elvira Constantina Pablo Antonio is participating in the 2021-22 HRAP. Elvira is an Indigenous lawyer from Oaxaca, Mexico. She is part of the Ayuuk Indigenous Peoples. Elvira collaborates with civil society organizations for the defense and promotion of human rights, especially women, youth, and Indigenous Peoples’ rights, on topics related to sexual and reproductive health and rights, violence prevention, political participation and Indigenous peoples’ collective rights. She conducts advocacy at the local, national, and international levels.

Advocate Ritu Thapa is participating in the 2021-22 HRAP. A lawyer with the Indigenous Women Legal Awareness Group (INWOLAG), Ritu provides free legal aid to Indigenous and other marginalized groups, especially women and young girls, in Nepal. She is currently working with the hydropower-affected Indigenous community of Tanahu, Nepal. She earned the LL.M. from the University of Pune, India.
