2008: Canada- 1914 Komagata Maru incident

In British Columbia, Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper apologizes for the 1914 Komagata Maru incident, in which several hundred South Asian immigrants were turned away from Vancouver.  Members of the local Sikh community complained that the apology should have been offered on the floor of the House of Commons.
