As of May 2023, 356 advocates from 95 countries have attended HRAP. HRAP alumni serve as invaluable resources for one another as they continue to excel in their respective fields. Group pages on Facebook and LinkedIn have been established to facilitate and support networking among past and present HRAP Advocates. Through these social media outlets, Advocates exchange ideas and insights, collaborate on new initiatives, and provide updates on their work and activities since their participation in HRAP.

HRAP relies heavily on alumni involvement during the applications process. Since 2009, HRAP alumni been interviewing shortlisted candidates and providing the program administration with invaluable feedback. Since 2010, HRAP alumni have been recruited to lead workshops for the current program participants. HRAP alumni have led workshops on negotiation and conflict resolution, gender, and maximizing the HRAP experience.

Since 2011, HRAP has been recruiting human rights students to work at the organizations of HRAP alumni during the summer. Since then, six students have volunteered at organizations in Kenya, Uganda, Sierra Leone and India. Click here to read more about the Student Volunteer Program.
