Thursday, December 4, 2025
Volunteer opportunities for Summer 2026 are now open! The Student Volunteer Program (SVP) is an eight-week summer internship with alumni of the Human Rights Advocates Program. Students receive the opportunity to expand their professional skills and human rights knowledge through fieldwork with grassroots human rights organizations, plus a $2,200 stipend. You can check out a recent SVP participant’s reflection on their experience here.
Applications will be accepted between December 1 - January 15. To apply, please submit this Google Form. In your cover letter, please indicate the organizations you are interested in working with, the relevance of this work to your studies, and how your qualifications relate to the opportunities you are applying for. If you apply for more than one opportunity, please indicate in your cover letter your first and second choices and clearly explain why you are qualified for each opportunity. Applications will be sent to the host organizations, which will request interviews with those students who they feel are the right match. The organizations will be asked to make their final decisions no later than March 1. You will be asked to respond to their offer within 5 business days.
