2016 Advocate Samuel Matsikure graduated with a Master in Human Rights, Peace and Development from African University in June. He reports, “My dissertation focused on access to legal justice for self-identifying gay and bisexual men in Harare, Zimbabwe. I used Kimberly Crenshaw’s intersectionality theoretical framework to illuminate gay and bisexual men’s experiences in accessing justice system. The framework reveals the complex factors as well as processes that shape social experiences.”
