2011 Advocate Colins Imoh of Nigeria participated in the webinar Peace Education and the Pandemic: Global Perspectives sponsored by the Global Campaign for Peace Education. Colins focused his talk, Educating for Peace in a Frightened World, on the “need to focus on the big picture of solidarity, which is what peace education is all about.” Colins is currently an adjunct faculty member in the Division of Criminal Justice at California State University.

2014 Advocate Esther Adhiambo has been active in the LBQ movement for nearly a decade. She previously worked at Persons Marginalized and Aggrieved Kenya. After attending HRAP, she founded the Initiative for Equality and Non-Discrimination where she serves as executive director.

Kemal Pervanic is the founder and executive director of Most Mira (Bridge of Peace) as well as an author and filmmaker. During the Bosnian War, he was held in two concentration camps, including the notorious Omarska. When the war ended, he moved to London. Ten years later, he returned to Bosnia-Herzegovina where he was alarmed to find misrepresentations of what had transpired in the country formally known as Yugoslavia.
