This is a remote volunteer opportunity
Mission: IRDH is a research and advocacy organization based in Lubumbashi, the Democratic Republic of Congo. Our work focuses on the promotion and protection of human rights with particular emphasis on access to justice, environmental governance, and the relationship between business activities and human rights
Responsibilities: Contribute to projects related to business and human rights with a focus on the challenges faced by local communities in accessing justice
Reports to: Executive Director, IRDH
Criteria: Must be fluent in French; must have previous research experience in human rights

Applications will be accepted between December 1 st and January 15th. Students should fill out
this Google Form where they should also upload their cover letter and resume. In your cover letter, please indicate the organizations that you are interested in working with, the relevance of this work to your studies and how your qualifications relate to the opportunities you are applying for. If you apply for more than one opportunity, please indicate in your cover letter your first and second choices and clearly explain why you are qualified for each opportunity. Applications will then be sent to the hosting organizations, which will request interviews with those students who they feel are the right match. The organizations will be asked to make their final decisions no later than March 1st. You will be asked to respond to their offer of placement within 5 business days so as to allow them to make another offer if you decide you are no longer interested.
